Fed: AFC announces new grants to boost local film production

CANBERRA, Feb 21 AAP - The Australian Film Commission (AFC) has launched a new program
to help reverse a sharp slide in local film and television production.

The Screen Business Venture Program offers financial assistance of up to $180,000 to
experienced producers who can identify significant commercial opportunities.

The program is aimed at producers seeking to expand their company's turnover, projects
and business activities.

Half the assistance will be offered as an interest-free loan and the other half will be a grant.
