Qld: Witnesses sought after Valley stabbings

BRISBANE, Dec 28 AAP - Queensland police are seeking witnesses after two men were stabbed
in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley nightclub district on Sunday morning.

Police said a 19-year-old man suffered a stab wound to his neck and a 20-year-old man
was left with a cut arm after an altercation in Ann Street.

After the attack, the two men approached a Ford station wagon with Black and White
taxi markings about 5am and collapsed a short time later in Brunswick Street.

The 19-year-old is in a serious condition and the 20-year-old is receiving treatment
for non-life threatening injuries.

Police are particularly interested in talking to the occupants of a Black and White
cab and a Yellow cab that were stopped at the intersection of Brunswick and Ann Streets,
at around 5am this morning.

Police also want to speak to a fair-skinned man described as in his early 20s, about
180cm tall, with short cropped fair hair, who was wearing a blue-green shirt and jeans.
