NSW:More than 300 calls for assistance received after wild storms

More than 300 calls for help were taken by the SES overnight after wild storms lashed NSW.

DAVID WEBBER from the SES says officers responded to 200 calls across Sydney and 70
at Tamworth in the state's north.

He says most were for water inundation .. water getting into roofs and houses .. and
also for flash flooding.

Investigations are underway after a 53 year old man was killed after an awning collapsed
at Balgowlah .. on the Sydney's northern beaches.

Storms are expected to continue this weekend.
